The fire is in the park
And is very dark.

Bursting into the sky
Flicker flicker bing bong bang!
Getting higher and higher
All through the night.

Flames bursting into the sky
Getting higher and higher.

There was a forest fire
As small as a dot in a pot
And as soon as it spread
It goes out instead

Firework, firework in the sky
Firework, firework in the sky
Bank! Bang! Bang! They will scare you away.

House fires, house fires
Are very hot
House fires, house fires
Are in a pot

It was bonfire night
It gave me a fright
The fireworks sparked
and it was very dark

I love you in the night

Camp fire

By Jacob, Year 2

In camp we had a camp fire and I cooked a fish over the camp fire
And we ate it all up and after it was night time everyone said
Goodnight and I went to sleep
In camp we had a fire and it burnt a tyre and I saw a flier
And the fire men burned down the flickering fire and we all said
Hurray to the fire

By Isobel, Year 2

Firework, firework boom in the sky
Show your fire in the sky!
Firework, firework don't go away
Don't, don't I want you to stay!
Firework light in the night!
I like the night but I need some light!
Thank you, thank you now I can see
I can see in the very dark night!
Firework thank you for the light
Now it's lovely and shining bright!
The night Is bright
but I need some light
in the very dark night!
Oh calm down your frightening me with your
BOOM! BANG! and SHINE!

By Gabe, Year 2

Sitting round the camp fire
Watching flames getting higher and higher
Crackle, crackle big red sparks
Disappearing in the dark
In the morning just burning embers
But what a fire did we remember

Forest fire

By Ellie C, Year 2

On Friday there was a flier
About a forest fire
And it started to spread
Through the forest and flames
Spreading everywhere
It rose higher and higher
And a house was full of flames
Fire engines came to the forest
They all ran away and everyone was scared
Because it puffed out of the forest
And into the city
People were in bed
They woke up and ran, ran, ran
Some people ran so far they
Stopped at a restaurant
And had something to eat

Log Fire

By Bob, Year 2

The fire is hot, fire is dangerous
Flickering flames are very dangerous
But one day in a house
There was a mouse
The log fire has logs in a fire
And that is why it's called a log fire

A racing fire it was very hot
It burnt my toys I was very cross.
A wiggling fire it was dancing in the wind
The wood was burning on the mountain
The snow was melting.
