Menu Maker: Recipes from Class 5 at West Twyford

Zayn's Besan Kay Ladoo

These sweets from Pakistan are a great way to finish a meal, and an ideal excuse for an extra course. Serve with one of our delicious drinks.

Ingredients
14 oz gram (besan) flour
8oz ghee (clarified butter)
1lb caster sugar
1 tsp. ground cardamom
1oz chopped almonds
1oz chopped pistachios

Method
1. Heat the ghee in a large saucepan, add the flour and fry over low heat stirring constantly until golden brown.
2. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
3. Add and mix in the chopped nuts.
4. Shape into small balls.
5. ENJOY!!!
