I came to Lenton in 1990 and over the years I have seen a lot of changes.
The student population has grown, so consequently families have dwindled. I have been a student in my time and it was great, but I feel we have too many students in Lenton. They must live somewhere after their first year in halls but, if Lenton is to survive as a community we must have more families moving back into Lenton.
There is a lot of tension in the area between local residents and students. People say that all students do at night is drink and make a lot of noise. That may be so but you are only young once.
If more people talked to students then they would understand where students are coming from.
